Drum Beats 101
Get ready to feel the rhythm and bring the beat to life in Drum Beats 101, an energetic and engaging course designed for beginners who want to dive into the world of drumming. Whether you're picking up sticks for the first time or looking to build a solid rhythmic foundation, this course offers a fun, hands-on approach to learning percussion.
Students will explore the basics of drum set playing, including stick technique, rhythm reading, hand-foot coordination, and foundational beats used in various music genres like rock, pop, funk, and jazz. Through guided practice, play-along sessions, and rhythm games, learners will develop timing, control, and confidence behind the drums.
No prior experience is needed—just a love for rhythm and a willingness to learn! Instruments are provided during class, and students will also have the opportunity to perform in group showcases.
